This is a really great idea - for work and personal life equally! Try it (for a period of time) if you have a lot going on at the moment as often if you write it down, it gives you an outlet for your feelings and thoughts...

Don't Give Up on a Coaching Relationship
I had a really enjoyable coaching session today. There was lots of discussion and challenge, and some tangible actions came out of the session, that the coachee can work on in the coming weeks. I am looking forward to seeing them again in a few weeks when hopefully more progress to achieving their personal development goals will continue!

Integrating health into Coaching
Really interesting webinar today where we discussed that your coachee's behaviours influence the coaching outcome...
Your coaching outcomes are influenced by ALL the inputs into your client's life
Every behaviour of your client is influencing what is taking place in the coaching.
I've learnt that it's really important to ensure you engage and contract properly with a new client... I always pride myself in doing this, but good to have that reminder! When contracting, you need to think about the whole client not the "Executive/ Business" element on its own!

Recreating my website
I have accomplished something this week in the midst of half term chaos with the kids... I have created a new website for www.kardooniconsulting.co.uk, and despite not being very good at website set up, I managed it!!
I was advised that my website platform was getting closed down, so I needed to find a new website builder. Having done that, I managed to import some of the images, get the wording copied across and rebuilt the website on the new platform....
I am really pleased with the results, and good to have a tick in the box at the end of the week.... Enjoy your weekend!

Some CPD reading - 6 Habits for being a Kinder person
I read a really interesting article today, from Coach Jinny Dizzler. It talks about 6 things you can do to be a kinder person. The article acknowledges that you probably already are a kind person, but these habits are simple and easy to remember and you can mark yourself out of 10 as to how you rate yourself on each one... they are in summary:
- Be interested, not interesting
- Be positive
- Speak from the heart
- Give up Gossip
- Forgive and forget
- Be kind to me (i.e. yourself!)

29th January - School Governor Conference.
Today I attended a School Governor conference. It was a really interesting morning, with talks on the future of Education, what we need to do to encourage the 3 Rs in school and finally how to deal with diminishing financial resources. You'd think with my background that my favourite session would have been the latter, but it was actually the one around the 3 Rs! There was lots of discussion in that session about feedback, high quality teaching, and collaboration - between school, parent and the child. It was like talking through a collaborative coaching relationship where a manager is involved! It always great to draw these parallels when in other situations!
